“Dallas-Fort Worth added many jobs in June, but as COVID- 19 cases continued to climb, employers cut their online job postings — a negative sign for the future.

In late July, job postings for professional services in Dallas were almost 43% lower than in January, trailing national and state marks by over 10 percentage points, according to an economic tracker on the pandemic recovery.

“Companies clearly are not confident about the future,” said Matt Sigelman, CEO of Burning Glass Technologies, a labor market analytics firm.”
