Ltd. and RECRUITadvantage, a major developer of applicant tracking systems throughout the Pacific Rim, announced a broad partnership today to embed Burning Glass solutions in RECRUITai, a next generation version of RECRUITadvantage's turboRECRUIT suite designed to provide unprecedented candidate ranking and screening functionality.

Through RECRUITadvantage's partnership with Burning Glass, RECRUITai customers will have access to the world's most advanced technologies for reading and extracting data from resumes and for finding the most suitable resumes for a job. As a result, companies deploying RECRUITai will be able to reduce dramatically the time and cost of handling inbound applications as well as the effort of screening through unviable resumes.

RECRUITai will embed Burning Glass's leading-edge ResumeXRay™ parsing tools to allow customers to capture automatically the widest range of resume facts with the highest levels of accuracy in the industry. ResumeXRay™ processes resumes in a variety of major document formats, including MS Word, HTML, RTF, and plain text, so no matter how job seekers send their resumes, there's never any need for manual data entry. Unlike other tools, Burning Glass captures far more than just contact information, extracting employers, positions, start and end dates, job descriptions, skills used, education, and certifications, among dozens of others. Resumes are then returned to the user instantaneously in a consistent order and format.

Through its strategic alliance with Burning Glass, RECRUITadvantage will also begin offering customers unprecedented focus in searching for relevant resumes. All applications are automatically ranked according to their fit with the job description. More than just a keyword-matching engine, Burning Glass actually reads and understands the job description so that it can make matches based on inference and context. These new Burning Glass tools also put powerful search tools at users' fingertips so they can derive greater value out of their candidate databanks. Searches can be based on a job description written in plain English, finding more relevant candidates, or search for a term within a targeted part of the resume. Burning Glass ResumeSearch™ is remarkable in that it applies patented predictive matching technology to its scoring and search functions, enabling RECRUITai users to control what candidates they see, using levers like distance from job site, years of experience in a specific job, level of education, or other defining information.

What is more, Burning Glass has completely retrained its predictive matching engine exclusively for Australia / New Zealand and other Asia / Pacific markets to provide RECRUITai with the same levels of accuracy and relevance as Burning Glass has long provided in its home markets.

Other systems rely on simple keyword searching to match candidates to jobs. ResumeSearch™ deploys neural network technology to improve the precision of matches. The Predictive Matching™ engine is built from data contained in Burning Glass' unique repository of historical career data extracted from millions of hiring decisions. The engine has distilled the complex behavioral patterns in these resumes and uses those patterns to build predictive models for employment specific to Asia / Pacific markets.

In client tests, ResumeSearch™ has proven up to 4.5 times more likely to find the right candidate for the job than other solutions. And when the U.S. Department of Labor recently evaluated technologies for reading job descriptions, it determined that the Burning Glass solution was nearly 50% more accurate than the next best offering.
