Burning Glass co-presented a workshop at the NCCET-NCWE annual conference on October 24, 2011. The topic was “Tracking Jobs and Skills in Demand: Using Real-Time Labor Market Data to Inform Occupational Program Design and Identify Emerging Opportunities”. Sue Goldberger, Burning Glass’s Director of Education & Career Advancement Services, and John Dorrer, Program Director for Jobs for the Future, led the session. Participants learned how they can leverage real-time information on jobs, certifications, and skills in demand from online job ads to inform occupational program design, employer outreach, and career services.
